These terms and conditions apply to all orders for products placed with us over the telephone or by fax, post, website or email. Please read them carefully before ordering products from us. Nothing in these terms and conditions affects the statutory rights of consumers.
 
We must receive payment of the full price of the products and the delivery charges before we can accept your order. We reserve the right to refuse your order or to restrict the number of products you may order. If an order is placed via email you will be contacted by telephone to confirm the purchase and provide the relevant payment details whether it be by cheque or credit/debit card. We will not usually cash any cheque we receive from you or take any money from the credit/debit account which you provide details of in respect of your order until we have accepted your order. We will acknowledge your order once we have received payment whether it be over the phone or in store. The products shall then be dispatched by Royal Mail, or made available for collection in person.
 
Our prices are set out in our store, on our website and on other literature. All prices are in Pounds Sterling. Delivery charges apply and will be communicated to you before completion of your order if delivery is required. These are added to your order and are dependent on the delivery address you have supplied and the weight of the products you have ordered.

Whilst we try to ensure that all prices are accurate, mistakes can sometimes occur. If we discover an error in the price of products you have ordered before accepting your order, we will contact you as soon as possible and give you the option of either reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as being cancelled. If the order is cancelled, we will refund any money which we have taken from you.
 
All goods must be paid in full prior to your receiving of the item, either by cash, cheque or credit/debit card. Tricot Shop makes no additional charge for payment by credit card. Tricot Shop also allow for orders over the phone using a credit/debit card.
 
All orders are subject to availability of products. If we are unable to deliver a certain product we will notify you and either refund the full amount by cheque in the post or cancel your credit/debit card payment accordingly. Alternatively, we may offer an alternative to the item in question.
 

Tricot Shop delivers all goods via Royal Mail. Delivery prices will become clear when purchasing any product(s). We hold no responsibility for mistakes upon delivery via Royal Mail and will make every effort to inform you if the product(s) shall be late.

We will deliver products ordered by you to the address you provide to us. You will not become the owner of the products until they have been delivered to you, at which time they will also become your risk and we will not be liable for any subsequent damage, loss or destruction to them. Tricot Shop will advise the customer of any delay and the customer shall be entitled to cancel the order within 24 hours of being notified if the revised expected delivery date is unacceptable.

Subject to the right of consumers under The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, Tricot Shopdoes not accept liability for the suitability or specification of the goods.

 
Your Right To Cancel: Under The (British) Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, you have the right to cancel an order within seven days - starting from the day after you take delivery of the goods. This only applies if the goods are in their original state and original packaging and returned to Tricot Shop at the address below (excluding knitting patterns and booklets).

If you wish to cancel your order, please call us immediately on 07780 70 70 40. If you have already received the product(s) you must carefully package the product(s) and return them to us at your own expense. Goods returned to must be accompanied by a copy of the original receipt, order number, customer's email address, phone number and delivery address. All goods should be sent recorded delivery, and must be insured for the full value of the contents. Tricot cannot be responsible for lost or uninsured packages. If you do not do so, we will charge you our direct costs of recovering the product(s). We recommend that you use an insured courier service when returning product(s) to us as we will not accept proof of postage as proof of delivery. We do not accept liability for any damage caused to the product(s) during transit. It would help us to know your reason for returning the goods, so please include a short note explaining why.

Until you have returned the product(s) to us, you must keep them in your possession and take good care of them. We will credit the price of the product(s) to your credit/debit card or send you a cheque for the amount to be refunded within 28 days of receipt of the returned item.

Refunds will be made within 28 days of receipt of the notice of cancellation.
 
All the information on www.tricotshop.co.uk is accurate to the best of our knowledge. However, we cannot guarantee that all product descriptions are current and error free. We will correct errors as soon as they are brought to our attention. Colour names and swatches are for your convenience only. Because of the difference in which computer screens display colours, the colour that you see may not match the actual colour of the yarn. If a product you have ordered is not as described, you may cancel your order and return the Goods to us in an unused re-saleable condition for a refund (please see our Refunds & Cancellations Policy.
 
All complaints should be addressed to tricot Shop though our helpline on 07780 70 70 40. If the products we deliver to you are not as ordered or are damaged, defective or of incorrect quantity you should contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will replace the incorrect, damaged or defective products or make good the shortfall in quantity or, at your option, credit the price and delivery charges of those products to your credit/debit card or send you a cheque for the amount to be refunded.

If you do not receive products ordered you should notify us within 28 days of the date of your order (please remember to allow at least 28 days for delivery). We will deliver the products ordered or, if you or we prefer, credit the price and delivery charges of the non-delivered products to your credit/debit card or send you a cheque for the amount to be refunded.

We shall not be liable for any delay, or other failure to perform any part of the contract, as a result of any factor outside our control, including but not limited to delays cause by our couriers.

Nothing in these terms and conditions shall be construed to exclude or limit any rights you may have as a consumer to the extent that such liability and rights may not be excluded or limited under applicable statute or law.
 
Tricot Shop does not disclose buyers information to third parties.
 
The copyright in the design, text, graphics, selection and arrangement of this web site and its pages and downloadable files belongs absolutely to tricot Shop or its content and technology providers. You may reproduce and print off parts of this web site only for the purpose of selecting and beginning the order process for our products. All other use is prohibited without our prior written consent.

The trademarks, logos and service marks (collectively 'the trademarks') displayed on our website and in our literature (whether registered or unregistered) are and shall remain the property of their respective owners. Nothing contained in our website or literature shall be construed as granting any licence or right to use any trademark displayed in our website or literature without the prior written consent of the relevant trademark owner. Your misuse or infringement of any of the trademarks displayed in our website or literature is strictly prohibited.

We, our directors, employees and other agents shall not be liable for damages of any kind including without limitation, direct, indirect, special or consequential damages, loss of income or profits, loss of or corruption of data, loss of or damage to property or claims of third parties, arising out of or in connection with your use of this website or the products sold on this website.

We do not limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or any rights you may have as a consumer to the extent that such liability and rights may not be excluded under applicable law.
 
If any of these terms and conditions are unenforceable it shall not affect the enforceability of the rest of these terms and conditions.
 
Other than as provided in these terms and conditions, nothing said by our sales personnel shall amount to a variation of these terms and conditions or a representation about the nature or quality of our product.
 
Nothing in these terms and conditions shall give any person who is not a party to the contract any benefit or any right to enforce any of the terms of the contract.
 
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England.
